TV Newsance 153: India Today sends legal suit to Newslaundry...and it made us laugh

We’re back on this platform! And as soon as we got back on YouTube, we got a gift from our dear friends at the India Today Group.

Team Newslaundry has been served a legal suit for "defaming" the "epitome gold standard of journalism" for "copyright violation" by "piggybacking" on the great work of journalism that India Today, Aaj Tak and Good News Today routinely produce.

In short, a legal suit that should have scared us had us laughing instead.

We go through the legal suit to see what exactly offended India Today and came across many achievements of its anchors Rahul Kanwal, Gaurav Sawant and Shweta Singh, and learnt about the many awards its vice chairperson Kalli Purie has won. We also learn how Newslaundry is trying to "usurp" India Today's market share. For a detailed exposition on the suit, watch ahead.

A special thank you to all who supported and subscribed to Newslaundry over the past few weeks, and helped top our legal war chest! Forever in your debt.
