'एक और चुनावी शो' में आपका स्वागत है. न्यूज़लॉन्ड्री की टीम इस समय उत्तरप्रदेश के उन इलाकों में है जहां मतदान होना है. आज हम यूपी के गोरखपुर जिले के परसिया गांव में हैं. जहां हमने केंद्र सरकार द्वारा चलाई गईं योजनाओं के तहत मिले फायदों के बारे में लोगों से बातचीत की. स्थानीय निवासी किकोरी लाल प्रजापति कहते हैं, "हमें सरकार की गरीब कल्याण अन्न योजना का लाभ मिल रहा है. हमें महीने में दो बार राशन मिलता है. मेरे परिवार में तीन लोग हैं और 15 किलो राशन मिलता है. किसान सम्मान निधि योजना के तहत चार महीने में दो हजार रूपए भी खाते में आते हैं. साथ ही आयुष्मान कार्ड से हमें इलाज मुफ्त मिलता है." वहीं छबिया बताती हैं, "मेरे घर में चार लोग हैं, सरकार हमें 20 से 22 किलो राशन देती है. जरूरत की सभी चीजें हमें मिल रही हैं. बैंक खाते में हर महीने दो हजार रूपए भी आते हैं, जिससे हमारा घर चल जाता है." एक अन्य महिला बताती हैं, "हमारे घर में पानी भर जाता है. हमने पीएम आवास योजना के तहत आवेदन किया था लेकिन अभी तक हमें कोई आवास नहीं मिला है. आयुष्मान कार्ड बना हुआ है लेकिन उ

I personally think that just adding caste and religion is not enough and we should add their annual income, their parents’ income, their home and current state, their marital status and their sexuality to the byline. While TV news only ever used the subject as a distraction technique, drug abuse and addiction were real issues on ground as Punjab went to polls this month. We spoke to a young man and his father at a government de-addiction centre, struggling with heroin use. We also met Dr Bhatia, founder of a Neuropsychiatrist Hospital in Amritsar and some of his patients who were recovering from different kinds of dependencies. न्यूज़लॉन्ड्री की टीम जब अपनी चुनावी यात्रा को दैरान उत्तरप्रदेश के बांदा जिले में पहुंची, तब यहां के बबेरू कस्बे में थोड़ी-थोड़ी दूरी पर, सड़क किनारे मरी हुई गायों और दूसरे मवेशियों की लाशें दिखाई दे रही थीं. यहां बबेरू ओरन रोड पर एक मुक्तिधाम है. मुक्तिधाम के गेट के बगल में नाले के आसपास लगभग 10 गायें और दूसरे मृत जानवर नजर आते हैं. उन्हें कुत्ते और पक्षी नोचकर खाते दिखाई देते हैं. इसी के आसपास कई घर भी हैं. हमने यहां कुछ लोगों से बात कर जानने की कोशिश की, कि ये मरी हुई गायें सड़क किनार नाले के पास क्यों फेंकी गई हैं? स्थानीय निवासी प्रदीप चतुर्वेदी न्यूज़लॉन्ड्री को बताते हैं, "शहर में कोई मवेशी मरे, या कहीं और, सरकारी कर्मचारी इन्हें लाकर यहीं फेंक जाते हैं. केवल सरकारी कर्मचारी ही नहीं, बल्कि मवेशी मालिक भी इधर ही लाकर फेंकते हैं. यहां इतनी बदबू आती है कि आना-जाना मुश्किल हो जाता है. पास में ही हरौड़ नाम की एक जगह मृत मवेशियों की अंतिम क्रिया के लिए आरक्षित की गई थी, लेकिन उस जगह पर कब्जा हो गया." क्या सरकार ने वह कब्जा हटवा कर इन पशुओं की अंतिम क्रिया का इंतजाम नहीं किया?

मोदी सरकार ने राज्यसभा में पूछे गए एक सवाल के जवाब में बताया कि सरकार ने अखबार, टीवी और रेडियो पर साल 2017 से 10 फरवरी 2022 तक विज्ञापन पर 2594.78 करोड़ रुपए खर्च किए हैं. यह सवाल माकपा के सांसद वी शिवादासन ने सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय से पूछा था. सांसद ने सवाल किया कि साल 2017 से फरवरी 2022 तक समाचार पत्रों, टीवी मीडिया, रेडियो और सोशल मीडिया पर विज्ञापन के रूप में कितना खर्च किया गया है. केंद्रीय मंत्रालय ने अपने जवाब में बताया कि ब्यूरो ऑफ आउटरीच एंड कम्यूनिकेशन (बीओसी)द्वारा सोशल मीडिया के माध्यम से 2017-18 से अभी तक 7.20 करोड़ रुपए खर्च किए गए. वहीं बीओसी ने बताया कि प्रकाशनों के माध्यम से साल 2017-18 से लेकर फरवरी 2022 तक 1654.57 करोड़ रुपए खर्च किया गया है. इसमें सबसे ज्यादा विज्ञापन 2017-18 के दौरान किया गया. सरकार ने 6782 प्रकाशनों के जरिए 636.09 करोड़ रुपए खर्च किए. वहीं 2021-22 में 5608 प्रकाशनों के जरिए 96.39 करोड़ रुपए खर्च किए. टीवी चैनलों पर विज्ञापन के रूप में सरकार ने 479.61 करोड़ खर्च किए हैं. इसमें भी सबसे ज्यादा खर्च साल 2017-18 के दौरान किया गया. सरकार ने 201

Days before the first phase of polling for the Uttar Pradesh assembly, the Bharatiya Janata Party presented its election manifesto, the Lok Kalyan Sankalp Patra. In it, the party promised to amend the state’s anti-conversion law to introduce a minimum imprisonment of 10 years and a fine of Rs 1 lakh. At present, the law, which was passed in November 2020, invites a penalty of up to 10 years in jail. Conversion and fanning fears of “social engineering” have been among the BJP’s election planks during the recent campaign. When listing his government’s achievements , chief minister Adityanath mentioned the anti-conversion law. In October last year, an article by Adityanath’s biographer Shantanu Gupta in the Organiser – a publication affiliated to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh – described the anti-conversion law as a “ surgical strike ”. In a statement on Monday, the NDTV said that it is among the networks that have chosen to not be included in the ratings which are soon to be released for the last few months. “During this period, ratings were blacked out because of the grave corruption and mismanagement involved in the process.” The statement comes weeks ahead of the resumption of television ratings – suspended since October 2020 following an alleged TRP scam that allegedly involved top executives from Republic TV. “NDTV has been among the earliest and biggest proponents of an exercise to clean up a dirty (and shockingly open) secret: a ratings system that misleads advertisers, and their agencies, by grossly misrepresenting each channel's market share.” Months after it suspended data for individual news channels, the Broadcast Audience Research Council had earlier said that it will resume issuing the data on March 17. A day after Twitter removed a caricature tweeted by the Gujarat BJP unit on a court verdict sentencing 38 people to death in the 2008 Ahmedabad serial blasts, the governing party on Monday claimed the cartoon was based on real photographs and did not target any particular religion or community. However, the opposition Congress and some social activists hailed Twitter's decision to remove the cartoon, and claimed the BJP was trying to gain political mileage out of the court's judgment. The cartoon depicted a group of bearded men wearing skull caps hanging by a noose. It had a Tricolour and a drawing depicting the scene of a bomb blast in the background, with "Satyamev Jayate" written on its top right corner.
